Where Mughal legacy meets the pristine fields of India
Explore Our RiceOur Heritage
Taj Bahar was born from a conviction: that the world's finest rice deserves to be grown where it has always thrived — in the mineral-rich alluvial plains of northern India, watered by rivers older than memory.
Our name echoes the Persian for "crown of spring" — a tribute to the Mughal courts where fragrant basmati rice was considered a gift worthy of royalty. We carry that tradition forward, from field to freight, with uncompromising care.
Our Collection
Each variety is carefully selected, aged to perfection, and processed under rigorous quality standards — ready for the world's most discerning kitchens.
The crown jewel of our collection. Extra-long grains that elongate magnificently upon cooking, with a captivating saffron-like aroma that fills the room.
Grown using time-honoured techniques in the foothills of the Himalayas. A classic grain with a deeply aromatic, nutty character that defines authentic Indian cooking.
Parboiled for superior firmness and nutrient retention. Each grain remains separate and springy after cooking — the preferred choice for large-scale catering and restaurants.
Golden and translucent, with a robust structure ideal for biryanis and pilafs. The extended shelf-life and resilience make it a favourite for international export.
A relatively newer variety celebrated for its quick cooking time and delicate texture. Versatile and aromatic — increasingly sought by European and Middle Eastern markets.
A celebrated hybrid variety from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute. Combines the finest fragrance with high yield — ideal for cost-sensitive yet quality-focused buyers.
Our Process
Every sack of Taj Bahar rice carries the story of a precise, unhurried journey — from hand-selected paddy to laboratory-certified perfection.
We partner exclusively with certified farmers in the Haryana and Punjab belts — the only regions where true basmati can grow. Every crop season is personally supervised.
Raw paddy is aged in our climate-controlled silos for 18 to 24 months. This intensifies the signature aroma and ensures grains expand fully upon cooking.
State-of-the-art sortex and colour-sorting machines remove any impurity. Our zero-breakage policy ensures you receive only whole, pristine grains.
Every batch is tested for moisture content, grain length, aroma grade, and pesticide residue before hermetically sealed packaging for preservation.
Certifications
Our production facilities and export operations meet the highest international benchmarks — so your customers receive exactly what you promise them.
